CD packaging
Sorry, I haven’t made an official debut on here. Since I am going to start cleaning up my place to make room for a sister, I’m starting to find old freelance.
Last summer I made these book like cd covers that kinda pop and slide the cd out. Here is a sample of my demo.
I printed on silver metallic paper and doing scores and folds caused it to lose its shiny texture :/ Any ideas? Maybe I should coat it with something. But you get the idea of the style, I hope. Sorry for the fuck ><;
Materials used:
- 18×12 bright white card stock 120lb paper weight
- cd- and cd labels to print on
- x-acto knife
- cutting mat
- ruler
- embossing tool
- a weird mind to come up with random song titles

That is hot. You could try coating it with something? I dunno, I know very little about this :/
@Hideko the paper on the demo is printed on bright white which was totally fine with the folds but then I used a shiny paper and the ink would crack around the folds :/
I might try cardboard type paper or recycled paper for a more organic feel…?
@Mija Yes, try the cardboard type paper~!
Oooh~! I remember when you showed me that CD cover before! It’s really awesome ;__; I want one. Maybe you could apply metallic paint to the paper after you’ve folded it? That way, maybe it won’t crack?
